MPO+ review 942155_95891

PSP- MPO+

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Plus is a steal at £20. To start off you have Online Servers for Ops and Ops plus. So even if you don't have to have Ops to play on its server. You can play Ad Hoc as well so if you have friends with PSP's and the PSP's are all at a certain you can kill eachother. The controls are strange...yet they work just great on the PSP. The camera is controlled by the d-pad, the analog nub controls the character movement and X,O,square, and triangle buttons I will go into detail individaully. That goes the same for the L and R buttons. The X button allows you to crouch or lay down. This can help you crouch or crawl somewhere, like under a vent to lay low for a while if needed. When hanging from ledges pressing the X button will make you drop down. And Just pressing the X button will make you roll. The square button without Items in your hand will make you go martial arts on an enemy. Once you knock an enemy out holding the square button allows you to drag them and letting do of it lets them fall but items come out of them as well so you might want to drop them from time to time to get a or something. The point of dragging enemies is to capture them by putting them in the truck in the area that is marked yours by an arrow over it, or you can drag the enemy toward a carboard box where one of your comrades hide, they will take care of the enemie so you can have them on you team. There are other uses of a body as well, using them as a shield is my favorite. When having Items in your had the sqaure button uses them if it is a weapon. Using a on the other hand you must press the L button then the square button to fire. The square button also lets you knock on walls if needed but it attracts enemies too. The O button if held will allow you to choose your items. You can only hold four at a time but you can drop them as well. When a is out and being used press the circle button to reload. The triangle button is what you can do to sneak most of the time. Hold traingle while moving and you can quietly stalk enemies. Or if you are by a wall hold it to get on the wall. If on a ledge pressing traingle will pull you up as well. It will also open lockers, close them and climb up uneven things like crates quitley and accuratley. The L button pulls your out and gets you ready to fire and the R button goes into the first person view. Pressing R and then L will allow you to see down the sights of your for precise accuarcy if it is a . One thing people might like is that if you had the original and it is saved on your Memory Stick Duo you can import soilders, guns, etc. . A good thing about this game is there are no cutscenes...but the bad thing is there is no story line. This game also only has 4 modes of play for single player, they are easy, normal, hard, and expert, then you should just play multiplayer. This game is great 9/10 buy now
